Cycle Syncing is the practice of eating, exercising, and organizing your life differently in the four phases of your menstrual cycle. During every phase, hormonal changes can make certain foods, nutrients, exercise types and intensities, and tasks more or less suitable. By learning the phases and treating your body accordingly, you can highlight the strengths and minimize the “weaknesses” in every phase.
Tea cycling is the practice of consuming different herbs during the four phases of your menstrual cycle. Women in their menstrual years can use it to promote regular
ovulation, reduce period cramps, limit hormonal acne, live according to their cycle, and support their body throughout the hormonal changes of their menstrual cycle.
While every woman’s cycle is unique, women with a 28-32 day cycle can generally chart their cycle like this:
1. Menstrual phase: the days of your period (every day that you bleed).
2. Follicular phase: beginning the day your period ends and continuing for approximately 8-9 days.
3. Ovulatory phase: beginning immediately after your follicular phase and lasting approximately 4-5 days.
4. Luteal phase: beginning immediately after your ovulatory phase and continuing until your next period begins.
*DISCLAIMER: counting your cycle in this way is NOT an effective form of birth control. In no way does Cycle Tea Co. promote or endorse counting days if attempting to prevent or achieve pregnancy. This information is strictly for educational purposes, is not medical advice, and is for the purpose of lifestyle cycle syncing ONLY.*
Tea cycling is a practice designed to support the ebbs and flows of the menstrual cycle. On a hormonal contraceptive, the menstrual cycle and process of
ovulation is typically halted to prevent pregnancy. This is often why women on hormonal birth control no longer experience period cramps, hormonal acne, or
other symptoms of monthly hormonal changes.
However, all of Cycle Tea Co.’s herbal blends provide health benefits to the female body and reproductive system, regardless of hormonal contraceptives. Being on
hormonal birth control does not prevent your body from experiencing the benefits of the herbs, it is only that you may not be experiencing the symptoms of a monthly hormonal cycle because your body is not currently ovulating.
Tea cycling may also assist if a woman is transitioning off of hormonal birth control.
Cycle Tea Co. does not currently (YET!) have a tea designed for pregnancy. We recommend talking with your doctor before consuming Cycle Tea Co.’s blends when pregnant.
